There is an iceberg, perhaps a reachable distance from land, The purpose of the image is to show that that's what alliances mean to PKP, that is, a forged, reliable relationship in constantly changing sometimes perilous environment.

Alliances

The Public Knowledge Project maintains alliances, memberships, and close relationships with organizations, labs, institutions, publishers, and other agencies similarly committed to serving the field of scholarly communication.

These alliances involve collaborating on research projects; developing software solutions; providing language translations; assisting with software documentation, learning materials, and technical support; offering joint workshops, seminars, or conference presentations; participating in UI/UX software testing, and contributing to advocacy initiatives, all concerned with advancing scholarly publishing.

In addition to working closely with its Development Partners and Sustainers, there are four organizations with which PKP is closely aligned and in which it is actively involved.
