PKP Technical Committee OJS community priorities survey results

The PKP Technical Committee completed its first community survey earlier this year, with a focus on trying to better understand what specific features journal managers and editors of OJS would find most useful for their work. We distributed this survey broadly, and were delighted by the enthusiastic response from the OJS user community, resulting in more than 524 completed surveys.

We shared some of the results at the PKP AGM in June, and are pleased to share the PKP Technical Committee OJS Priorities Survey Report, in case you missed it then!

The results provide some useful insights into what areas of OJS users feel the need to improve the most. The findings align closely with much of the other user feedback collected by PKP in many different ways over the years, and with the milestones identified in the PKP Roadmap.  We hope that data collected in this survey will provide some further insights to the PKP development team in balancing areas of effort, and can also provide evidence to support future grant and funding opportunities.

Planning and conducting this survey has set the stage for us to carry out more surveys and other community engagement activities in the future!
